KAT ® Indexer

Gullco KAT® all position welding carriage with indexer combination

The Kat® Carriage/Torch Indexing combination is used to automate:

overlay welding operations
hard facing
cladding
flame spray applications.

The travel carriage runs forward and reverse continuously while the torch indexes in (or out) at each end of the carriage travel.

The Model GK-200-RHI Kat® Indexing Carriage runs on Gullco rigid aluminum track as shown in the photo at left. It can also be formed to a inside or outside diameter. Model GK-200-FHI Kat® Indexing Carriage runs on Gullco flexible spring steel track. Two track mounted limit switch actuators are supplied. Each model is available in three speed ranges and three voltages. Like all Kat® travel carriages the Indexer will carry up to 100 lbs. (45 Kg) of welding equipment in any position. Closed loop tachometer feedback ensures complete speed accuracy regardless of load or position

The indexer can also be supplied as a remote that can also be synchronized with a rotation device.

Indexing Combination

The indexer starts and stops the carriage, controls the wire feed and indexes the torch
High torque gear motor powers the indexing rack arm assembly ensuring accuracy and durability
Limit switch prevents rack arm over travel
Indexer control is available on a 15 cable were access is restricted
For uneven or rough work surfaces the indexer can be combined with the Gullco Electronic Arc Height Sensor to ensure quality and accuracy
