In this video the KAT® Oscillation welding carriage is used to automate the welding process of large diameter penstocks for power generation. The welding is carried out by two carriages working simultaneously together to help improve productivity and reduce material deformation.
The oscillation heads on the KAT® carriage can be either linear or radial depending on the application needs and provide the ability to store up to 10 different welding programs for repeating common application processes.
