The Pipe KAT® from Gullco has been designed to run on an aluminum extrusion track band with a rack and pinion drive system. This improvement has made the drive of the carriage smoother and provides a superior weld quality to that of the previous model.
Remote control of the key welding parameters makes for quick and easy adjustment at the point of work.
This pipe welding carriage will work on pipes of 12″OD and up and is designed for field and power plant manufacturing applications.
With welding automation such as this the productivity and consistency of the weld are maintained throughout the process and greater deposition rates and arc on time are achieved.
