KAT® Weld Oscillation Automation Carriage

KAT Carriage Oscillation Combination

The KAT® Weld Oscillation Automation Carriage is electrically powered with a guided carriage that can operate in forward and reverse directions. This design incorporates a durable aluminum track band with self-aligning wheels and a rack-and-pinion drive to engage the track with ease and precision. The wheel assembly utilizes a lever to engage the track, making it easy and quick to install the carriage.

The Kat® 200 Flexible Track carriage features a flexible track that can be positioned to follow the contour of the workpiece, allowing it to work on curved surfaces. Using a self-aligning wheel system, the carriage moves closely against the workpiece, gripping the top and bottom of the track for exceptionally accurate welds along any plane.

Orbital Welding Machines

What is Orbital Welding?

Orbital welding uses automation technology to weld stationary tubes, pipes, and other cylindrical components by moving the electrode in an orbit around the workpiece. This welding method is ideal for tubes in hard-to-reach positions that can be difficult to access manually. 

The orbital welding process can be fully automated for high-volume, repeatable pipe and tube welding. To handle smaller batches or custom components, a variety of semi-automatic and mechanized machines may be utilized.
