Weld Automation

The industry’s most durable travel carriages for welding and cutting applications include weld oscillation, cladding and overlay, weld seam tracking, and plasma and flame cutting. Proven over decades, the KAT automation carriage from GULLCO has been engineered to be durable and robust while also being lightweight and feature-rich. The KAT® 300 Welding and Cutting Automation Carriage, for example, weighs just 17 pounds and includes the following:

Portable Beveling Machines

One of our goals is to provide products that improve process efficiency, quality, and employee safety for our clients. Our portable beveling machines are part of that mission.

Without proper edge preparation, the joint may not fit correctly and it can compromise the appearance and strength of the weld. Plate beveling machines, also called plate bevelers, help you prepare weld edges for improved accuracy and consistency while decreasing heat input, consumable waste, and labor requirements.

The Gullco portable beveling machines are available in various sizes to handle materials in a range of thicknesses, with features like adjustable undercarriages and durable construction to withstand extreme environments and harsh weather conditions. They produce clean edges without thermal distortion.

Pipe Girth Welding

Our pipe welding machines are designed for superior precision, enhanced productivity, and employee safety and allow for full automation of high-volume pipe welding.

The KAT carriage is available in both Rigid Track and Flexible Track models that are low-voltage, programmable, and variable speed. The KAT pipe welding carriage is especially user-friendly, with an electrically powered track-guided design and weld oscillator head engineered for extreme accuracy. Features include precise speed control, linear or radial oscillation, and durable remote control.

Ceramic Weld Backing

Avoid costly gouging and grinding by introducing ceramic weld backing tape into your welding procedure. These products provide x-ray quality back beads on the root pass. Our KATBAK ceramic weld backing has improved adhesion with wider heat-receptive, pressure-sensitive foil, gas release holes, and does not include carcinogenic materials. Gullco maintains a large stock of standard tiles for typical welds, and we can customize your weld backing when a standard option meets the requirements of the procedure.

Welding Electrode Stabilizing Ovens

Electrode-holding ovens or electrode stabilization ovens, are essential for high-quality stick welds, as they prevent the rods and electrodes from absorbing moisture.

With both stackable and portable models, Gullco meets the needs of various types of operations. If your welders stay within your facilities, the in-shop welding electrode ovens are ideal. They’re available in different sizes, and two of the models have nesting feet and sockets for safer stacking. These in-shop designs are compact and efficient, with removable shelves and recessed controls for better protection. Full insulation reduces heat loss, and thermostat controls allow for easy oven temperature maintenance.
